Amanda Redman visibly unimpressed as Alison Hammond cuts interview over This Morning drama

During today’s eventful show, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were left stuck on the Thames after visiting the HMS Belfast on it’s 60th birthday.

However, on the way back to the This Morning studio, their boat ran out of fuel, with Alison taking their place.

Amanda, 60, was on hand to promote the upcoming series of The Good Karma Hospital, but viewers claimed the actress looked perplexed by the ongoing chaos.

What’s more, Alison cut their interview to check up on Holly and Phillip, which didn’t appear to sit well with the star.

“Amanda Redman looked thrilled to be stopped mid sentence to cut to a boat,” said one audience member.

Another agreed: “Interrupting Amanda’s interview to go to Schofe who was moaning his hand was too wet to unlock his phone.”

A third gasped: “Did they actually just cut Amanda Redman off mid interview to show a clip of Phil & Holly on their way back to the studio?”

One more wrote: “I love working from home on a Thursday as I can watch #thismorning. But this episode is so cringey with Allison failing to interview Amanda Redman. Quickly bring back @Schofe and @hollywills.”

That was followed by: “I got the impression Amanda Redman couldn’t wait to get the hell out of there.”

“Amanda’s is now running out the studio in a daze..,” joked another.

Alison has since tweeted that she was “so nervous”, as she stepped in to present the show solo.

She wrote: “I was so nervous stepping in last minute for @hollywills and @Schofe on @thismorning today and I don’t know why when we have the best supporting viewers ever.”

Naturally her fans rallied around to pass on their congratulations, with one viewer posting: “You are amazing, you make me smile, laugh and feel better about the day. Good job done Alison xx.”

“You were great! We love you,” cried another.

A third enthused: “@AlisonHammond2 well done taking the reins on #thismorning.”

Thankfully, Phillip and Holly made it back to present the rest of the show and all was restored.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
