Alec Baldwin underage actress scandal: You won't believe what they are saying

The shocking row has now descended to the level of Alec Baldwin posting: “No wonder (Kevin) Spacey fired you.”

Dan Brunetti replied: “No wonder Kim (Basinger) divorced you.”

It’s the dirtiest Hollywood fight in recent years and is being conducted on Twitter as everyone else takes sides or looks on in amazement.

Baldwin has also insulted the Fifty Shades franchise (which Brunetti is involved in) and implied that his adversary bankrupted his production company. In return Brunetti repeatedly called the star a liar (among other insults) and accused him of always knowing that Nikki Reed was underage when they filmed the controversial scenes in Mini’s First Time.

The row started yesterday when Baldwin denied knowing Reed’s real age in his new memoirs and claimed he was furious with the producers, including Brunetti and Spacey.

Brunetti publically blasted his claims: “It’s a lie. I read it and was like, ‘What the f***? Of course he totally knew how old she was.”

Since then the pair have engaged in a war of words on Twitter.

Brunetti wrote: “The problem with Hollywood is they cower to blowhard bullies like Alec Baldwin. He can’t handle when someone like me stands up to him.”

Baldwin’s memoirs also hit the headlines with revelations that

During a series of furious exchanges, Baldwin, who is the president of the Screen Actors Guild, appearing to threaten Brunetti.

It almost seems too extreme to be real, rather like some sort of daytime soap opera, but US media has been covering the outrageous Twitter war with gusto.

The actor insisted that the producer obtain a legal document which would prove Reed was underage at time of filming.

He wrote: “Produce the union required release form and your problems are over. For now.”

Brunetti replied: “Don’t threaten me, you douche.

In other tweets Baldwin had a dig at Brunetti’s involvement with the troubled Relativity Media.

He wrote: “Do me one favor? Just teach me how to bankrupt a company like Relativity. I want to put it in a screenplay I’m working on. Oh. Get the waiver.”

Brunetti replied: “Again, you don’t know what you’re talking about. It was bankrupt before I got there. What else you got angry man?”
