Alan Carr speechless after Emma Willis insult: 'That's no way to greet a guest'

Alan was on to chat about his recent wedding and his new game show I Don’t Like Mondays when he was insulted by Emma.

Introducing the chat show host, Emma joked that she wouldn’t get a word in edgeways sitting next to Alan and Rylan.

“I’ve got you that way and then Alan,” she laughed.

Alan could be seen shooting a shocked look at the camera as Rylan snapped: “Oh you love it.”

He added: “What a way to welcome a guest.”

Alan then chipped in, commenting: “Lovely, that’s very nice,” as he looked away from Emma and Rylan.

“Isn’t it cheap?” Rylan said continuing to mock Emma.

“Listen, they sound the same but with slightly different accents,” the Big Brother host noted trying to defend herself.

“I can’t talk because sometimes I sound like I’m communicating with dolphins I’m so high-pitched.”

Insisting it was too late to apologise, Rylan replied: “Oh self-deprecation, she’s trying to claw it back.”

“She knows she’s gone too far,” Alan laughed.

Alan, 41, opened up on his marriage to long-term partner Paul Drayton, which was planned by close friend Adele.

“It was in January. We got married in Adele’s back garden, in LA,” he commented. “I’m not giving you any postcodes!

“she’s known me and Paul for ages. She said, ‘I want to do your special day. I want to do everything.

“She got ordained and she married us.”

Alan continued: “She is the kindest, most sweetest. She flew us to Vegas to see Celine Dion sing.

“She [Adele] sang my first dance. It was the best day of my life. She’s the loveliest person going. What you see is what you get. Simon her lovely partner [too]. It was lovely.

“I just want to tell everyone. She won’t say because she’s so private. Flowers, three-course meal, she just planned it all. It was the best day of our life.”

Also during his appearance, Alan hinted at the winner of tonight’s Great Celebrity Bake Off, which he took part on.

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10.30am.
