Alex Beresford was put on the roof of ITV‘s studios today as he was on the hunt for the incredibly rare Jupiter and Venus rising.
However, as he was telling viewers, it was a very cold day and as he was wrapped up warm, he struggled to focus on his presenting duties.
As Piers, 52, and Susanna, 46, cut to Alex, the weatherman stood looking around, completely unaware that the camera was live on him.
Susanna joked: “Well, Alex doesn’t seem to realise he has a camera on him!”
Her co-host laughed: “Slightly chaotic, but nothing we can’t handle. He’s probably frozen to death!”
What’s more, the pair had just interviewed the camera operators from Blue Planet Two who had risked their life for their jobs.
Piers rightly noted that Alex’s gaffe was merely minor in relation to David Attenborough’s team’s trials and tribulations.
Susanna informed viewers: “He’s ok. He’s up there, he’s just distracted by Venus and Jupiter rising.”
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV from 6am.
