The former Coronation Street star explained that he is taking part in Dick Whittington the pantomime when he revealed he finds the jokes rather amusing.
Phillip, 55, asked him about his co-star, saying: “We were speaking to Ashley Banjo, obviously he is doing Dancing on Ice and is in the panto with you…”
The guest, 66, answered: “Yes he is! It’s all a bit, ‘I can handle Dick better than you…'”
Phil, trying not to laugh, replied: “Yes, there’ll be all of that.”
“Funny enough,” he said, turning to Holly, 36. “We were just cracking the Dick jokes yesterday.”
It was too much for the This Morning stalwarts, who couldn’t hold their laughter any longer and failed to continue their duties for the ITV show.
Viewers were naturally in hysterics and flocked to Twitter to laugh about the joke.
One posted: “Just tuned into #ThisMorning to catch Nigel Favers say he handles Dick rather well!? Erm… OK?”
Another joked: “I can handle Dick better than you hahaha haha.”(sic)
A third added: “Phil and Holly never miss a Dick joke.”
