When the zombie series returns, it appears Sasha Williams could die trying to kill off the leader of The Saviors as she seeks revenge for Abraham’s death.
Sonequa Martin-Green, who plays Sasha hinted that she may be forced to take matters into her own hands if Rick, Ezekiel and Gregory fail to step up and fight Negan (played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan), which could lead to her death.
Speaking about her character’s desperation to see Negan dead, she teased: “I’ve never taken my eye off of Negan.
“I know what I believe needs to be done, and I’m ready to see if we can come up with a plan that will work together.”
She added that Sasha has no time for those who may stand in the way of progress, especially Gregory, who she feels may make matters worse.
“I have no respect for him,” Sonequa told Entertainment Weekly. “So that’s definitely going to be difficult in my mind to get him on board, even to understand what we’re doing, and beyond that, contribute to what we’re doing.”
It’s the not the first time the 31-year-old has hinted her character may not survive to see the end of season seven.
The star was recently announced as the leading commander in Netflix’s Star Trek: Discovery, leading many to question if she could juggle two roles.
Speaking of her potential demise, she said: “Well, I can’t say anything. I can say that the story is as impactful and powerful and dynamic as it always has been, and there’s nothing to worry about where that’s concerned.
“I’ve seen her battle a horde of walkers this year while simultaneously battling a stomach flu that would have had most people crying in the dirt.”
The Walking Dead season seven returns to FOX UK on February 13th at 9pm.
