During on the ITV breakfast show, the professional dancer confused the presenter with Mollie King – both of whom are contestants on the competition this year.
Speaking to hosts Richard Madeley and Ranvir Singh about dancing with the late Sir Bruce Forsyth on the BBC series, the 51-year-old entertainer said it was his most nerve-wracking performance.
“I was waiting in thawing doing what M- doing what all the celebrities do,” he said, stumbling over his words.
But Ranvir, 40, didn’t miss anything and quipped: “You were about to call her Mollie!”
Anton laughed as the camera panned over to Charlotte, 42, who did not look impressed.
He continued: “The opening music starts and I can’t remember the words and the steps.”
Richard, 61, carried on the joke as he told Anton: “So you have sympathy then for people like Mollie?”
Once more, the camera turned on Charlotte who looked sad that she was out.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One this Saturday at 6.35pm.
