Emmerdale spoilers: Chrissie White exit revealed during Finn's funeral? This is chilling!

During tonight’s harrowing instalment of Emmerdale, Pete Barton (played Anthony Quinlan) erupted into an impassioned speech about his brother’s tragic death.

“What mother murders their son?” he snapped.

The camera then suspiciously panned to Chrissie (Louise Marwood) and Lachlan White (Thomas Atkinson), sparking a flurry of predictive tweets.

“Pete: Who murder’s their own son? *camera cuts to chrissie* Me: AH. Subtle.  #emmerdale,” teased one audience member, as another asked: “Was that hint Chrissie gonna murder Lachlan panning on Chrissie face about who murders their son #emmerdale.”

A third speculated: “Anyone notice that in Pete’s speech about what kinda mother kills her own son they cut to shots of Chrissie and Lachlan… #Emmerdale.”

“@emmerdale Chrissie pulled a strange suspicious look on her face when Pete said what mother kills her own kid? #Emmerdale,” said one more, which was followed by: “Like Chrissie’s look just then. Pete says ‘What mother murders their son?’ Chrissie thinks ‘I’ve given it consideration before’. #emmerdale.”

The bombshell comes after boss Iain MacLeod recently hinted how the White family would leave the ITV soap.

Speaking a at recent press day, attended by Express.co.uk, he revealed: “The exit storyline emerges from what Robert is doing now on screen.

“It will be big, dramatic and hopefully quite surprising and out of the blue.”

Tonight’s Emmerdale also saw the revelation that Emma Barton (Gillian Kearney) was murdered, before Ross Barton (Michael Parr) was caught by a mysterious stranger, destroying evidence of her murder.

Emmerdale continues tomorrow at 7pm on ITV.
