Craig Revel Horwood and Shirley Ballas were not impressed that the pair had performed illegal lifts with their respective partners.
Mollie danced the Tango with AJ Pritchard to Addicted To Love, but Craig made sure to point out their illegal manoeuvre.
Craig said: “Well there was an illegal lift in there which is going to be marked down for.
“And AJ you should know that anyway! Whether you call that an assisted jump, but it was into that first lunge where your back lag was bent and should be straight and the foot should be turned down.”
Tess Daly tried to take sides with the contestants and told Craig: “Picky, picky!”
David performed a Quickstep with Nadiya Bychkova to Last Nite, but included the same style of illegal lift that Mollie had been marked down for.
Once again, Craig said: “There was an illegal lift in there which you didn’t need to do but I understand why you did it.”
Shirley added: “We had an illegal lift, we had drops in the middle!”
It comes as head judge Shirley faced a backlash from fans of the show for her comments towards Holby City star Chizzy Akudou.
Chizzy performed a Foxtrot to I’m a Woman from Smokey Joe’s Cafe with professional partner Pasha Kovale, but Shirley said she was left feeling “disappointed” and wanted more “sophistication”.
Awarding Chizzy a measly four points, Shirley explained: “A little disappointing for me today Chizzy. The Foxtrot for me is like the Rolls Royce of all the boardroom dances. I found it a little too lumpy for my taste.”
Strictly Come Dancing continues tomorrow on BBC One at 7.15pm.
