Watch Rami Malek Perform Queen’s Live Aid Set as Freddie Mercury

After biting our nails for months wondering how this whole Freddie Mercury/Queen biopic thing was going to pan out, we wound up catching our first look at the actor who has some rather large shoes to fill as the British singer with the four-octave range last week. Mercury will be played by Mr. Robot star Rami Malek, with Bryan Singer set to direct Bohemian Rhapsody. The film hits theaters on December 25, 2018. This week, we have one-minute video footage of Malek performing the “Bohemian Rhapsody” set from Queen’s memorable Live Aid appearance in 1985 — widely considered the greatest live performance in rock music history. We feature both Malek’s performance and Mercury’s, below, for comparison. Go forth and critique on our Twitter and Facebook pages.
