It movie: Is THIS who’ll play grown-up Beverly in Chapter 2? She’s a HUGE star

Chapter 2’s script is currently in development, with a release expected to follow in 2019.

Reflecting on the huge success of Chapter One, which took over $ 180 million worldwide in its opening weekend, director Andy Muschietti briefly discussed who could play one particular member of the Losers’ Club as an adult.

On the suggestion that Jessica Chastain looks like Beverly star Sophia Lillis, he told Variety: “I don’t know, does she?

“Jessi is an amazing actress and very good friend and I would love her to play Beverly.”

He added: “She loves the movie and it feels like the planets are aligned in that sense, but we still have to make that happen.

“There are a lot of ideas for the rest of the cast that I’m playing with, but it’s a bit too premature to say those names right now.”

Chastain certainly has the pedigree: she has two Oscar nominations to her name (The Help and Zero Dark Thirty) and a Golden Globe win (Zero Dark Thirty) in addition to three further nominations.

Bill Skarsgard plays Pennywise in the movies, and last week revealed what decision he made that made his performance even more sinister.

When asked by SlashFilm about his character mocking his child victims immediately before killing them, he said: “It wasn’t scripted. That was something that I really wanted to incorporate.

“With the character, it’s like, ‘What defines evil? Real, real evil, and monstrosity?’

“And having a crying child and then mocking that crying child is, to me, one of the most horrific things you can do.”

It is out now.
