Kate Middleton pregnancy style: Duchess of Cambridge’s maternity wardrobe revealed

The Duchess of Cambridge, 35 and Prince William, 35 were forced to reveal their happy news earlier than planned due to Kate suffering from severe morning sickness once again.

It is thought she is only 11 weeks along with her pregnancy, meaning the baby will be due in March 2018.

She may be seen in public for Prince George’s first day at school tomorrow, but it is not yet been confirmed.

But when the Duchess does step out, all eyes will be on her. Express.co.uk takes a look at her maternity style through both previous pregnancies.

COATS

Kate’s favourite thing to wear while pregnant is a coat, as this covers and protects her bump whilst still looking chic.

Her usual choice is one with buttons down the front and a small colour.

Over the years, Kate has chosen bold colours, such as a hot pink coat during her second pregnancy, and more muted tones, depending on the occasion.

PRINT

The Duchess is a fan of prints in general, and this doesn’t stop when she is pregnant.

While carrying Prince George, she attended the wedding of a close friend in a white and black spotty dress, which she teamed with matching accessories.

Kate has also worn a black and white animal print dress during both her pregnancies, and since it is obviously a favourite, it is likely to make an appearance this time too.

DRESSES

Throughout both pregnancies Kate wore a particular silhouette, choosing dresses that flattered her figure. She tends to choose fitted items with a waist band just above her baby bump.

At the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s coronation, Kate wore a lace nude dress, complete with a pink ribbon sat just above the royal’s bump.

And she doesn’t pair these dresses with flats, choosing to stay in heels throughout both pregnancies – something she will probably do this time again.
