Game of Thrones season 8 spoilers: The Night King's plan EXPOSED? Shock theory REVEALED

Fans of the hit HBO series were left stunned when the final instalment came to a close with the Night King (played by Vladimir Furdik) destroying The Wall with his ice dragon, Viserion.

Now that he has managed to blow down the one barrier preventing his army of the dead from entering Westeros, fans have begun to speculate about what he has planned next.

One Reddit user has hinted that now the Night King is in possession of a dragon and no longer has to worry about The Wall, he will cause devastation across the whole of Westeros.

“But they’re about to be proven horribly wrong. If the Night King takes off on a grand tour, the entire continent will be facing a zombie apocalypse overnight.

“Cersei thinks she can quietly rebuild her power while the fighting happens elsewhere? Wrong. Dany thinks her armies can march up the Kingsroad untroubled? Wrong. Euron thinks the Iron Islands (or even Essos) are a safe haven? Wrong.”

He warned that while few major characters were killed off in season seven, many would die “very quickly” when the final six instalments aired.

“The thing is, with so few characters left, the viewers should get used to and get ready for… Thrones returning to form and killing its main characters quickly,” he teased to Deadline.

“They’re going to go, and they’re going to go fast, and I think that payoff of our characters not being in great peril this year will be that, next year, it’s going to be a bloodbath.”
