Coronation Street spoiler: Pat Phelan and Dan Osborne murder twist fuelled in THESE pics

It was recently revealed that Pat (played by Connor McIntyre) would set his sights on the young man after he was seen following Daniel (Rob Mallard) to an elderly care home last week.

Spotted with a glint in his eye and clearly with a sinister plan in mind, the killer then suspiciously waited in his car for Daniel to return.

Ken Barlow’s (William Roache) son has been noticeably absent from the ITV soap of late, but Pat’s sudden interest in him is worrying to say the least.

Following the shocking moment when he pushed his dad down the stairs earlier this year, the troubled character later managed to build bridges with his old rival Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) after saving his life from a stab-wound in the Bistro.

In the new pictures, actors Connor and Rob can be seen arriving to the secret set, before they are quickly ushered inside a full-covered outdoor area.

With crew tightly guarding the scene that’s surrounded by metal barriers and black-out boards, it stands to reason that the pair’s scenes could be important, perhaps even setting the stage for a huge exit for one of the actors.

It was recently revealed that Pat’s crimes will finally be discovered in upcoming scenes for the soap, with newcomer Nicola Rubinstein (Nicola Thorpe) as the Liverpool-native’s long-lost daughter at the forefront of the drama.

Spoilers also tease that Nicola’s new boyfriend – a policeman – could be involved in the eventual reveal.

Speaking to Christine Lampard on Lorraine, Nicola explained: “It’s got to come out at some point.

“He either owns up to it or does everything he can to hide what he’s done,” she hinted.

The soap star went on to add that the storyline will unfold over the next couple of months, saying: “It’s going to be unfolding over autumn. If you don’t watch Coronation Street, now is the time!”

Coronation Street continues tonight at 7.30pm on ITV.
