Coronation Street spoiler: Has Gary Windass QUIT amid THIS shock confession?

Still struggling from his accident on the building site at work recently, the ITV soap saw Gary (played by Mikey North) get into trouble with his boss Don, when he revealed that he didn’t have insurance for the damages he’d inadvertently caused.

After getting fired from his job, the long-running character was grimly determined to provide for his family and refused to disappoint his girlfriend Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien), so decided to accept the dangerous security job he’d previously turned down.

Meeting with his old army friend Joe, who now runs a private security firm in the Ukraine, Gary told him that he’d changed his mind.

But the danger involved became obvious as Joe slipped into the conversation that their previous recruit hadn’t “worked out”.

Attempting to convince Gary with the prospect of quick and easy money, Joe told him: “Let’s just say, accidents happen. I never said there was no risk, but it’s minimal – especially considering the pay cheque.”

After accepting the opportunity, Gary returned home to tell Sarah about his big move.

Gary lied: “I’ve got a new job in Hamburg. Look the money is great, it’s only for a few weeks and it means that we can go for that house.”

But as Sarah told her partner that she just wanted him “to be safe”, the expression on the builder’s face said the exact opposite, as he tried to joke that the “Germans are very safety conscious”.

“It’ll be worth it and I’ll be back before you know it,” Gary then assured her.

With Gary remaining quiet about the true frightening reality of his new job, and a worried Sarah completely unaware of where he is travelling to, will the beloved character die in the Ukraine?

Coronation Street continues tomorrow at 8pm on ITV.
