Rihanna poses with Brigitte Macron outside the Elysee Palace wearing French designer Dior

In June, Rihanna tweeted French President Emmanual Macron asking if France would commit to funding opportunities for children in developing countries.

She wrote: “Bonjour @Emmanuel Macron, will France commit to #FundEducation?”

Both Brigitte, 64, and Rihanna, 29, donned suit jackets for the occasion and looked in high spirits over the meeting.

Brigitte chose to wear a white cropped jacket with short sleeves adorned with large silver buttons, while Rihanna chose an oversized black blazer.

Former school teach Brigitte wore a white top underneath her jacket along with blue skinny jeans and a pair of blue stiletto heels.

Her bouncy blonde hair was coiffed to perfection and an excited smile couldn’t seem to leave her face.

Rihanna towered over the French president’s wife and wore her suit jacket in a slightly different way.

She teamed her oversized black blazer with an oversized grey shirt and grey suit trousers which appeared to have a cape attached at the back.

But Rihanna kept the look feminine by wearing silver heeled sandals and a chunky silver necklace.

She also gave a nod to France by wearing an across the body bag by French designer Christian Dior.

Rihanna is the founder of the Clara Lionel Foundation campaigning for education rights in impoverished communities worldwide.

She is also an ambassador for the Global Partnership for Education, and made similar approaches on Twitter to other world leaders, including Argentine President Mauricio Macri and the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The Wild Thoughts singer is not the only musician to meet with the French President and his wife this week.

On Monday, Brigitte was pictured getting along famously with U2 lead singer Bono outside the Elysee Palace.

The U2 musician and philanthropist is co-founder of the organisation ONE, and met with Brigitte prior to meeting her husband, to champion his organisation

ONE battles against extra povertu and illness, particularly in Africa.
