Although the teasers are very brief, they hint that the Demogorgon seen in the first season may have not been entirely killed.
The latest snippet shows the corridor leading up to the Upside Down with the teasing caption: “The door is still open.”
The second clip shows Steve Harrington’s (played by Joe Keery) pool, famously where fan-favourite Barb Holland (Shannon Purser) met her gruesome end at the hands of the Demogorgon.
Accompanied with the caption: “Nothing ever went back to normal.” Will Barb’s death cause ripples around Hawkins?
Although the offerings give little information away, fans can expect a full trailer to land soon as the show takes part in San Diego Comic-Con.
The highly-anticipated second season will follow on exactly one year after Will Byers’ (Noah Schnapp) disappeared on a bike ride home.
After subsequently being rescued, all is not well for the school boy as he has been suffering nasty side effects from his ordeal.
Actor Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike Wheeler, recently teased: “Something happens to Will in the first couple of episodes that’s very, very disturbing.”
His co-star, Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin Henderson, agreed, adding: “[His friends] know he is not well. But they are just trying to pretend [nothing] happened.”
Stranger Things will return to Netflix on October 27.
