Michele Clapton was discussing Jon’s (played by Kit Harington) cape when she accidentally disclosed that the King of the North will meet not one but two members of royalty in the upcoming eighth season.
“There are times when we removed [the cape] because we wanted [Jon] to be more vulnerable,” Michele told Uproxx.
She added: “Especially I think, when he saw Dany, and he went to see her for the first time n the chamber.
“We decided to remove it, but then when he went to see Cersei, we put it on,” the costume designer slipped.
Although on-set photos revealed that Jon will meet Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) previously, a meeting with Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) comes as a shock.
However, with the growing threat of the White Walkers in the North, is Jon trying to build a united army to take on the mystical creatures?
This comes after Sophie Turner accidentally revealed who may sit on the Iron Throne at the end of the fantasy series.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the 21-year-old teased: “Jon Snow should be on the Iron Throne out of all the Starks.
“He’s kind of got the whole package and has a great team around him. I think he’d be quite a good king,” Sophie added.
Game of Thrones returns to HBO on July 16 and will be simulcast in the UK at 2am on Sky Atlantic.
