As poor Sonya (played by Eve Morey) sets about getting her life back on track, next week’s harrowing episodes reveal that the hapless mother is about to be rocked by a stalker.
The “guardian angel” helps around the garden, cleaning up for Sonya after a storm leaves rubbish all over.
When she sees she’s been helped out, Sonya is convinced it is her ex, Toadie (Ryan Moloney), but Eve has exclusively revealed to Express.co.uk that the truth is so much worse.
The 34-year-old actress explained: “She thinks it’s Jared because he really wants to help but she wants her space and not to have to rely on him all the time.
“Yes, I was relying on him to get me out of jail… But she’s not too worried about him at the moment.
“She tells him, ‘Dude, you’ve gotta stop it’, but when the stalker is revealed, it’s just so sad.
“It’s a sad situation and there’s so much to be resolved from it,” Eve teased.
Although it is currently unknown who the stalker is, Eve has promised it is a returning character who will certainly rock the boat for Sonya and Toadie’s relationship.
She continued: “I don’t think it could ever be over [between those two] because they share children so they have to make something work.
“I think Sonya wants to heal from everything that’s happened,” Eve admitted.
Neighbours airs weekdays on Channel 5 at 1.45pm and is repeated at 5.30pm.
