While fans wait for the release of Star Wars The Last Jedi this Christmas, other canon forms of media have been released including novels and comic books.
One such new comic is Star Wars: The Screaming Citadel, a five-issue series from Marvel.
The story, released in May this year, focuses on Luke Skywalker between the events of Episode IV: A New Hope and Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.
Now Star Wars theorist Mike Zeroh has spotted a new character, one who looks very much like Snoke – could this be Luke’s first encounter with the villain?
In his new YouTube video, he says: “We see this figure who really looks like Snoke. The eyes, the face, the facial structure [see video below].
“The only difference is he has this red marking around his eyes.
“Some…might say he isn’t Snoke but is of the same exact species.
“Now this would explain how Snoke knows Luke Skywalker, because in Screaming Citadel issue No 1 he meets Luke.”
He added: “But what is really is intriguing is that we know MakingStarWars.Net – a very reliable Star Wars news website – reported that Snoke has a black ring with a black kyber crystal in it or a black gem of sorts.
“Well in one of the images in Screaming Citadel issue No 1, we do see that this character is wearing a black ring.
“So is this Snoke in Scream Citadel?”
Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi will be released in UK cinemas on December 14, 2017.
