The band haven’t played to together in almost a decade, with both Gallagher brothers now embarking on solo careers.
Fans wondered if Liam and Noel would finally reunite Oasis at One Love Manchester two weekends ago, however the latter couldn’t make it.
While Liam will perform songs from his debut solo album on Saturday evening at Glastonbury Festival, Noel will be presenting Supersonic, a documentary about Oasis, on the Friday.
So what are the chances of a surprise reunion for the band at Glastonbury?
While it may have been a possibility a few months ago, Liam now thinks Oasis is over.
Appearing on Chris Evans’ BBC Radio 2 show earlier this week, it was clear the singer still had some serious beef with his brother.
He said: “Oasis, that’s done mate. That’s done and has been done for a long, long time.
“Regardless of what happened over the weekend or whatever – Noel Gallagher doesn’t want it. Full stop. He’s quite happy doing his stuff.”
Liam added: “I didn’t want the band to split up in the first place. He’s made out like something really terrible has happened.
“He wanted to end because he wanted to go solo. I don’t know why people can’t get that into their heads. I’d do it, but it ain’t happening.
“Every time I say I’d do it, it sounds like I’m desperate for it. I’ve got this coming out now, the songs are absolutely stomping.
“Also, I’m better looking, a better singer, I’m just cooler all round. You’d have to ask him. I don’t know what his problem is, but he’s milking it mate.”
Glastonbury Festival 2017 takes place between June 21-25, 2017 at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset.
