Emmerdale spoiler: Marlon heartbroken as Carly Hope makes SHOCK exit

In upcoming scenes, the Woolpack chef will find himself the bearer of bad news when he has to explain to daughter April (played by Amelia Flanagan) that his girlfriend has left.

After Carly (Gemma Atkinson) makes her exit, Marlon (Mark Charnock) wakes up in Lydia’s (Karen Blick) bedroom in her nightdress and is left confused by what happened the night before.

He quickly flees Mulberry Cottage to inform his daughter that Carly has left them behind, which April blames him for.

And the youngster becomes even more annoyed with her father when Lydia reveals he drunkenly arrived at the house looking for Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy).

But things go from bad to worse when April also learns that Marlon tried to kiss his ex-wife.

He desperately tries to explain that he didn’t lock lips with Laurel and that’s not the reason why Carly left, but April believe him?

While details of Carly’s exit are being kept tightly under wraps, her relationship with Marlon will become strained over coming weeks.

As she grows closer to her ex-boyfriend, Marlon will become more paranoid about her being tempted to leave him.

Will his insecurities lead to their break-up or will Carly simply decide it’s time to leave the village?

continues tonight on at 7pm.
