Pam-ania? Melania Trump strikes up unlikely friendship with Baywatch star Pamela Anderson

Melania Trump, 47, is accustomed to some of the finest things in life which used to include an impressive haul of fur coats – but it would seem a new found friendship with Pamela Anderson has changed everything.

The First Lady received a package from Hollywood star Pam, 49, with a black faux lamb fur coat packaged up inside.

It’s believed FLOTUS received the package back in February but plumped for a Ralph Lauren outfit for her husband’s inauguration into the White House instead.

But that didn’t stop polite Melania wanting to thank PamAn for her gift.

PETA supporter Pam posted a picture of the letter she received – dated 20 April – on Twitter.

The letter read: “Dear Pamela, I very much appreciate your sending the beautiful eco-faux fur from Only Me.

“I am grateful for your support and encouraging words; they mean a great deal. Together, we can empower more women to stand up for their beliefs.

“Thank you for your thoughtful note and gift. God bless you and your family.”

A spokeswoman reportedly confirmed the first lady ‘does not wear fur’ but the decision wasn’t dated.

Pamela replied to the letter on Twitter, writing: “Dear Melania, Thank you for your sweet note.

“It is heartwarming to see you manage your position with such beauty and grace. Pamela.”

Fans believe this is a new consideration for Melania who has previously thought nothing of wearing the finest furs to public events with her husband Donald Trump.

The model was pictured in 2007 with Donald and her young son Barron wearing a fur trimmed jacket.

She also attended the Dennis Basso Fur shop opening on Madison Avenue in 2003 wearing a brown stole.

It’s not the first time the new First Lady and President of the United States have hit headlines thanks to Twitter.

Donald Trump hit troubled water after posted a gushing message to his wife on her birthday last month.

He tweeted First Lady Melania saying: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our @FLOTUS, Melania!”

And with his kind words, he posted a picture of the couple, hand in hand, from his inauguration.

But there was a mistake in the tweet, eagle-eyed fans noticed.
