The new Nokia 3310 is coming to the UK soon.
The surprise hit of 2017 so far is set to go on sale in the UK soon following a triumphant reveal at Mobile World Congress earlier this year.
The new device will be available in Warm Red and Yellow, which both come with a fingerprint-prone high-gloss finish, and Dark Blue and Grey, with a matte-look finish.
However some UK customers will be left disappointed after two of the country’s biggest networks revealed that they will not be selling the Nokia 3310.
So it’s bad news for Three and O2 customers, after both companies confirmed they have no plans to stock the new Nokia 3310.
Both networks told TechRadar that neither will sell the device online or in high street stores, but did elaborate on the reasons why.
So far, Carphone Warehouse has been the only UK carrier to confirm it would be selling the Nokia 3310, saying last month that the number of pre-registrations for the new device had been, “incredibly strong.”
However Carphone Warehouse no longer has this exclusive after Vodafone confirmed it would be stocking the new Nokia 3310 in the UK.
The company told media today that Nokia fans will be able to purchase the new device from the Vodafone UK website when it goes on sale.
Vodafone did not provide any precise information on price or even the exact UK release date for the Nokia 3310, simply saying that further information would be revealed “in due course’.
Anticipation is building across the world for the release of Nokia’s next release.
In a recent poll by Express Newspapers, 80 per cent of readers said they would ditch their smartphone in favour of the new Nokia 3310.
Only 20 per cent of the 1,500 people polled said they could not live without the “smart” functionality afforded by their smartphone.
The iconic Finnish firm failed to reveal the Nokia 3310 release date when it unveiled the device back in February.
However it did reveal that the new Nokia 3310 would cost €49 when it goes on sale in Europe – around £41.
The device is expected to go on sale later this month, although as Nokia is yet to confirm this, fans could yet be waiting until May 2017 to get their hands on the new phone.
