The 44-year-old actor is back on TV screens playing Michael Scofield after an eight-year long break.
And he was close to using his character’s jail breaking skills after he was cornered with a pair of handcuffs.
Whilst out grabbing his daily caffeine fix, Wentworth revealed he was accosted by a fan.
“I had a fan stake me out at a Starbucks. They knew that was the one that I went to almost every day,” he told Guilty Pleasures.
He added: “They had gifts for me; one of which was a pair of handcuffs. That was certainly a little suggestive.”
Since his debut in the hit FOX series in 2005, the star still insists on doing his own stunts.
He continued: “I try to do as much of the action as I possibly can.
“Michael is not a superhero, not physically. I like the fact that I might not be able to execute that stunt perfectly, because you’ll see it on camera and you’ll see that Michael is not necessarily a force to be reckoned with from the neck down.”
Prison Break’s first episode since its eight-year hiatus got off to an explosive start after Michael was found very much alive in a Yemeni prison but now goes by the name Kaniel Outis, a renowned terrorist with links to ISIL.
And Wentworth previously explained how Michael’s escape will be very difficult as they face a bigger problem trying to get out of the country.
“I think not only do we have Michael up to his usual unexpected seat-of-your-pants shenanigans, but their escape from prison is tied in directly with and happening simultaneous to the fall of a country,” he told Entertainment Weekly.
“Once they’ve broken out of that prison, they find themselves in a different kind of prison — the country itself is what they need to escape from. It’s no easy task.”
Despite only just returning after a lengthy period, the show’s creator admitted he doesn’t plan on doing another season.
Prison Break airs on FOX UK on Mondays at 9pm.
