Dogolrax will have you exploring the remains of a dead alien in one moment, meeting monochrome priestesses the next, and then shift to gunplay against floating brains followed with a meetup with a decayed fetus deep within metallic caverns. It is endlessly moving and endlessly surreal, dragging whoever plays it deep into its twisting narrative.

Dogolrax draws from Out of This World and Flashback to create a world that is dying, yet continuously changing. It’s a bleak place where death rules, and what is real is never quite on steady ground. Through constant changes in gameplay, environments, characters, and tones, it seeks to keep you from ever getting comfortable with its meanings, creating a jarring ride that you can only try to hold onto.

Dogolrax is a waking fever dream of imagery and play styles, offering a wild journey to any player willing to just let the game take them wherever it wants. If you’ve got five bucks to spend, it might be worth it just to grab it and hold on.

Dogolrax is available for $ 4.99 on Steam. For more information on the game and developer Team Shuriken, you can head to the developer’s site or follow them on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.
