Jerry Maguire star's heartbreaking childhood: 'BULLIED and depressed, I felt like garbage'

He was one of the cutest, sunniest little kids to ever hit the big screen.

Lipnicki held his own opposite Tom Cruise and Renee Zellweger in the smash hit movie back in 1996 when he was just six years old. Films like The Little Vampire and Stuart Little followed, but his Hollywood dream soon turned into a nightmare.

Now 26, the actor has opened up on social media about the depression, anxiety and bullying that destroyed his childhood.

Lipnicki wrote: “As a kid and teen I was made fun of relentlessly… I was told I was a has-been and would never book a job again.

“I was made to feel like garbage every day of middle school to the point where I had a panic attack every night before school, because I wondered how I would get through the next day… It was humiliating.”

He revealed that he developed eczma on his hands from nervously rubbing them together so much but never shared his story until now.

Lipnicki added: “Honestly it’s scary to share the most persona stuff that has happened to me, but I really hope it can resonate with some kids out there. I have never publicly discussed my battle with anxiety and depression and I just did.”

The actor gave his first interview on his childhood trauma this week and had a message for anyone going through sometihng similar.

He said: “Chase your dreams. It’s amazing how mean people peak in their teens.”

LIpnicki wrote on Instagram: “I’m sharing a little of my experience. It gives me anxiety being this open, but being bullied is a universal problem.

“I am not a victim, but rather empowered because I was able to turn to my art. I am grateful for the amazing life I have and I hope I can pass on that it DOES get better.”

He also shared celebratory news about his acting career.

He wrote: “I have now made more movies as an adult than I did as a child. This makes me really emotional…

“Sure, they aren’t studio films or wide releases but they are in theatres!

“I am chasing my dreams and couldn’t be happier.”
