Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield speechless as James Nesbitt HALTS This Morning chat

The presenters were chatting to the actor about his role in Stan Lee’s Lucky Man as DI Harry Clayton when he asked if they could pause for a moment.

He apologised as he then reached into his pocket and took out his phone, noting: “Sorry, someone is calling me.”

A shocked and then demanded that he tell them who was calling him during their live interview.

At first, James was reluctant to reveal the caller’s name but eventually admitted that it was an unknown number from Leeds.

He explained: “Someone from Leeds is trying to call. I think it’s one of those PPI calls.”

The star quickly rejected the call and put his mobile back in his pocket before revealing that his daughter once admitted that she’d prefer to talk to a PPI caller over him, which left the hosts in hysterics.

The hilarious moment came after Phillip revealed that he had banned Holly from having any more children.

When chatting to model Abbey Clancy on today’s show about the new series of Britain’s Next Top Model and motherhood, the 54-year-old joked: “I won’t let Holly have any more children because she has time off the show.

“I snuck in once night and gave Dan [Baldwin] the snip, he still doesn’t realise.”

airs weekdays on at 10.30am.
