“On the day of the performance, the camera didn’t actually pan to the judges and I was sitting there in floods of tears,” Alesha said.
The judge went on to add how she felt the message was really important and offered a “wow” factor to the show.
Taking to social media this week, the mother-of-two also put her support behind the dance troupe when denying reports she had quit.
In view of her 895,900 followers, she wrote: “For the record, I never threatened to quit BGT. I’ve had no conversations with ITV regarding this matter.
“I do however stand by and support @AshleyBanjo and Diversity. #IamNotYourMediaPuppet.”
