Good Morning Britain saw Ranvir Singh and Adil Ray joined by a host of guests on Thursday morning’s programme and today, Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis, dished out more tips and tricks to ITV viewers to help them keep their finances on track. However, after being cut off by Adil, Martin got out his chair and walked away from the camera.
Martin regularly appears on shows from the broadcaster, revealing some fantastic money hacks for viewers to try out.
Today, he featured on GMB and was giving some much-needed advice to those who are struggling with the financial impacts of the coronavirus.
However, as the guest’s segment neared its end, Martin was interrupted by host Adil who informed him he would have to “leave it there”.
This prompted Martin to get out of his chair and walk off-screen, after remarking to the hosts: “Zip, go, programme’s over, bye-bye!”

It came after Ranvir asked the guest if he had some summer savings, with Martin responding: “Yeah I’ve got loads, here’s the most important one…
“If you’ve been working from home and you’ve had extra expenses such as heating and electricity, you are allowed to claim. You can get £6 of your salary a month tax-free.
“It’s called working from home basis and you don’t need to provide receipts as long as you’re not claiming more than £6 a month.”
Advising viewers how they could complete this, he explained: “You can fill in the P87 form, there’s more help available online so do read it because it’s a bit more complex.”
Loose Women host Christine has been stepping into Lorraine Kelly’s shoes this week while the regular presenter takes some time away for the summer.
The Money Saving Expert had given further advice earlier on in his slot, advising those watching to consider saving with NS&I rather than high-street banks.
He said: “It has the top-three easy access accounts, now, millions of people have savings accounts in high street banks that are paying, well nothing, 0.01%, check yours now, you’re almost certainly getting very, very little, and they could put it in National Savings.”
“It has a number of advantages, the first of all is that it’s totally safe, because, rather than other banks, where it’s up to £85,000, per person, per institution, protected in national savings, the whole thing is protected.
“Even if you were lucky enough to have millions in it, it is completely backed by the government,” Martin reassured viewers.
Martin’s walk-off wasn’t the only mishap to happen on the programme today as earlier on in the show, veteran presenter Andi Peters suffered an embarrassing fall during his segment.
The host was promoting GMB’s latest competition, explaining to viewers how they could be in with a chance of winning a huge sum of money.
However, while trying to navigate moving around a boat on the River Thames, Andi tripped over on the deck, much to the amusement of his co-hosts in the studio.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
