Antiques Roadshow guest ‘humiliated’ over valuation of ‘ugly lump of glass’

“So again it’s all now building up nicely, do you like it now?” she asked and the lady replied: “Yes it’s growing on me!”

“And if this went into auction you would be looking at an estimate of between £4,000 and £5,000,” Susan revealed.

“You’re kidding me?” the lady exclaimed. “That’s ridiculous because whenever I told my mum I was coming here, she brought this out and I said ‘I’m not taking that! That’s just a big lump of glass!’

“Obviously humiliated!” she stated.
