Singles were isolated in separate pods while they tried to find love without seeing the other person. The Netflix series became a huge sensation and caused a stir on social media, but Love is Blind fans are still being shocked by revelations after the finale.
The reality sensation’s reunion special aired earlier this March, with contestants from the series returning to discuss the biggest shocks and how their lives are going two years on from filming.
Reality shows frequently involve a group of people forced together in an isolated situation with the drama and gossip naturally unfolding.
Love is Blind went one step further, keeping singles separate in confined rooms known as pods.
It could remain one of the only reality shows that can still be filmed safely amid the coronavirus pandemic, as more people worldwide are advised to self-isolate and communicate via social media.

The first season shocked hundreds of fans when Taylor Lupton introduced himself as a 31-year-old virgin.
While not quite in Steve Carrell territory, Taylor’s confession still came as a surprise when he explained he was saving himself for someone special.
He then appeared to be somewhat secluded from the group, as he seemed to disappear from the series into mid-air.
In a shocking twist weeks after the series concluded, news outlet the Tab have recently revealed Taylor’s claim wasn’t true after all.
“I’m pretty sure he just said it to play into his persona. The magic of television, and it’s sweet sweet lies.”
Long-running reality show viewers will know certain scenes and conversations can be edited to twist the context for more dramatic TV moments.
Finally, Andy elaborated: “So that conversation, and a lot of others were somewhat staged. The producers would give a question to ask, in our case they had Westley ask the virgin question.
“But sadly I cannot remember how it all went down, mostly because we were all drinking. But it definitely didn’t just end after what I said.”
If anything should have made fans take Taylor’s initial claim with a big pinch of salt, it’s the fact that most of the cast were several drinks into their conversation.
Taylor has been reached for comment but has yet to respond, though Andy joked that not replying to texts and emails is absolutely on brand.
Hopefully this will be the last time the show risks getting in trouble for misleading edits, with Love is Blind set to return for a second season.
