Today’s This Morning saw Kasey return to the sofa with her rescue dog Maggie, who appeared on the show a year ago, and new puppy Millie. The puppy was born a stray in Russia and had been shot in the face multiple times. Due to her severe facial injuries she lost her snout but since being rescued has a new life as a therapy dog.
Eamonn Holmes and Rochelle were thrilled to be joined by Dr Scott, Kasey and the two puppies on the sofa.
But when Maggie began to struggle sneezing, Eamonn was keen to find out if they were safe from coronavirus.
Dr Scott joked: “Oh I think she might be a little bit allergic to this conversation.”
“So Maggie can’t see?” Eamonn asked.
“No, Maggie is completely blind,” Kasey explained.
Dr Scott went on to add: “What I must say is Eammon, I completely understand your mindset.
“When I first going to meet these dogs, I thought, ‘Wow, is their welfare compromised?’
“But looking at Kasey, watching these dogs…,” however he was interrupted by Maggie who finally sneezed.
Speaking at the start of the show, Eamonn said: “Now, your Friday edition of This Morning, the sharp-eyed amongst you may have realised Ruth is not here.
“She’s under the counter or something? No, she’s a wee bit under the weather, not under the counter, under the weather.
“So basically, she’s at home, watching us from home.”
He later added: “Should point out Mrs Holmes has not got a fever or a dry cough.
