Outlander season 5: Brianna Fraser star sends fans into frenzy with baby Jemmy snap

It’s just a matter of months before the Fraser family are back on screens in the fifth run of Outlander. While the cast have shared a few details of the new series, Brianna star Sophie has given fans their first look at baby Jemmy.

Fans of the STARZ series know Brianna had a tough time in season four, which saw her raped by Stephen Bonnet (played by Ed Speelers).

She was also separated from her husband Roger Mackenzie (Richard Rankin) and believed he had left North Carolina to return to the present.

Instead, he was beaten by her father Jamie (Sam Heughan) and sold to the Mohawk while she learned she was pregnant.

It wasn’t known if Roger or Stephen were the father but the former finally found it within his heart to reunite with Brianna after he was rescued by the Frasers.

“Wee Jem is a wee gem,” one wrote, while another added: “Looking forward to the new season x.”

A third commented: “This just melts my heart,” as another remarked: “Aww! How cute!”

Ahead of the new series, fans have been busy speculating whether or not Brianna and Roger will return to the future.

The Revolutionary War is fast approaching and there appears to be danger ahead for the Fraser family – but it could cause conflict for the young couple.

In the first trailer for the series, Jamie can be seen warning wife Claire (Caitriona Balfe) to do what she must to save their family.

She promises she will as they both remark it’s safer in her own time – the present.

Meanwhile, Brianna and Roger can be seen arguing over their future with the new mum insisting she will stand by her family.

Could the Fraser family be ripped apart once more with Jamie left to face another battle alone?

Outlander season 5 returns to STARZ and Amazon Prime in February 2020.
