The Walking Dead season 9 spoilers: ‘I’m not done’ Lauren Cohan teases Maggie Rhee return

The Walking Dead fans will remember Maggie Rhee (played by Lauren Cohan) built up a vicious disagreement with Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) earlier this season.

However fans never truly saw the end of their vendetta as Rick was flown away in a helicopter (for some reason?) and Maggie inexplicably disappeared between episodes.

It was eventually revealed Maggie went away to work with Georgie (Jayne Atkinson) after she came around Hilltop looking for recruits.

But something may have happened between Maggie and Michonne (Danai Gurira) towards her exit, as Maggie was sort of responsible for Rick venturing off to his “death”.

But fans may not be in the dark about Maggie’s fate forever, as her actor Lauren has recently hinted at her return.

Appearing on Busy Tonight, Lauren discussed the show, and appearing on it for so many years.

And on the subject of whether she misses it she dropped a big bombshell.

She announced: “I do, but I’m not done.

”I’m not done. We’re hoping we go back. Just trying to live in the unknowing.”

Lauren’s extremely vague comments don’t exactly paint the perfect picture of her return – however she has certainly left the door open.

While her return has never been confirmed, this at least hints towards Maggie’s arrival back on the show in some capacity.

Despite this, fans are still none-the-wiser to when she will come back.

But with Michonne’s actor Danai reportedly leaving the show in the coming weeks, could Maggie be set to return and fill the void she will be creating?

If so, Maggie may attempt to take over Hilltop as leader of the community.

And if she does, Maggie could come up against some kickback from Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) who is also vying for the top spot in the show.

Recently Father Gabriel actor Seth Gilliam recently spoke on the Talking Dead about what is to come in the final episodes of the season.

He shockingly announced: “Yes, there are some shocking deaths to come.”

Seth could be hinting towards the infamous comic book deaths which saw a number of characters decapitated by the Whisperers.

But who will be killed off as the season comes to an end?

The Walking Dead season 9 continues Sunday on AMC and Monday at 9pm on FOX in the UK.
