The Walking Dead season 7: Viewers praise 'great episode' as characters prepare for war

The Walking Dead fans flocked to social media to express their appreciation for the latest episode ‘Bury Me Here’.

It focused on Morgan (Lennie James), Carol (Melissa McBridge) and the others over at the Kingdom and was largely created to get King Ezekiel’s people in the right place ahead of the war against Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and The Saviours.

Two characters met a brutal end on the latest instalment, first was Benjamin (Logan Miller) who got murdered in an elaborate plot.

King Ezekiel’s lieutenant Richard (Karl Makinen) engineered a scheme to get Benjamin killed to kick-start the war.

He sabotaged a confrontation with the Saviours at the drop-off, by leaving out one cantaloupe.

After Benjamin was shot by Jared, Morgan confronted Richard and found out it was him who set it up.

Furious, Morgan breaks his no killing ban and ends up choking the life out of his former ally.

Elsewhere, Carol made a return and learned the truth that Daryl kept hidden from her.

Loaded with the new information, she rushed straight to Ezekiel at the Kingdom and tells him they have to fight today.

The monarch said: “Yes, we do,” the monarch confirms, “…But not today.”

The emotional and tense events left viewers rushing to praise the latest episode that has prepared many characters for war.

One happy viewer wrote: “CAROL , MORGAN , EZEKIEL AND THE REST OF THE KINGDOM ARE NOW READY FOR WAR !!!! IM HAPPY !! #TheWalkingDead #TWD.”

“I might re-watch the episode tomorrow!!!! I REALLY LIKED IT #TheWalkingDead,” exclaimed another.
