Coronation Street fans watched on as Kate (played by Faye Brookes) found another man for her “sperm donor” plan during tonight’s continuation.
However, before that, Kate and Rana (Bhavna Limbachia) had a blazing row after the nurse admitted she doesn’t want a baby at all.
In the Bistro, Kate bit her tongue when Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) innocently talked about her and Robert Preston’s (Tristan Gemmill) baby plans.
Kate then called in to Adam Barlow’s (Sam Robertson) office and explained her deal with Robert is off.
But in an unexpected soap twist, Adam cracked open a bottle of scotch, with Kate instantly creating a new plan in her mind.
Fuelled by alcohol, a determined Kate seduced Adam into kissing her passionately.
She was then seen to undo his belt to remove his clothes before the first part of tonight’s episode finished.
As part two picked up just moments later, it revealed the pair didn’t take it any further.
But this didn’t stop the rumours flying around and coming back to bite her.
Kate’s moment of madness came back to haunt her when Rana found out the truth.
Rana insisted she didn’t want to break up with Kate, but later Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) told Rana that Imran saw Kate and Adam “getting frisky” in the office.
Rana confronted Kate and insisted their relationship is truly over, as Kate insisted she “didn’t have sex” with Adam.
Kate said: “Yeah, I know I was wrong to let him kiss me, but my head was all over the place. This year has been…” as Rana snapped: “No. Don’t use Aidan [Connor] as an excuse!
“So what, now you’re suddenly bisexual then? So you weren’t attracted to him, but you had your tongue down his throat? Am I missing something here?”
Kate then insisted it was only because she wanted a baby, but Rana flipped that it was “all about her”.
She screamed: “It’s all about you and what you want. What about me? What about us?
“I mean, what did you think I was going to say when you turned up pregnant? Or did you just not care?”
Kate cried: “I love you,” as Rana replied: “Maybe just not enough. Honestly, I can’t see a way past this. You do what you need to do. But we’re over.”
Rana then stormed out as Kate broke down in tears. Could the pair be over for good?
