Strictly Come Dancing 2018: Lauren Steadman suffers blow hours before tonight's live show

Strictly Come Dancing is in the quarter final stage of the competition and tonight the remaining six celebrity contestants will take to the dance floor to perform again.

However, for Lauren Steadman, 25, and professional dance partner AJ Pritchard, 24, their dreams of lifting the Glitterball Trophy could be crushed.

It comes as Bookmakers have predicted her to be the next contestant to be eliminated from the series.

She has been tipped to follow in the footsteps of Graeme Swann, who left the competition last weekend.

According to Betway, her odds of 6/4 suggest the public will fail to vote to save her.

Nevertheless, if she does make it into the dreaded dance off, it seems she will be joined by Charles Venn, 45.

The ex-EastEnders actor is also at risk as Betway place him second, with odds of 11/10 to exit this weekend.

But it is all to dance for, as Lauren might stand a better chance at being saved by the judges.

It follows Charles and partner Karen Clifton, 36, having been in the dance off several times now.

Which means, for Lauren, who has never been in the bottom two, the judges could vote for he

Either way, the judges will make their decision based on the dance.

At the other end of the spectrum, betting odds have shown a change to who will win the overall series.

Now sitting firmly in first place is Joe Sugg.

It seems the 27-year-old, with his combined 14 million subscribers and followers on YouTube and Instagram, has what it takes to lift the Glitterball Trophy.

Tonight Strictly fans can expect Lauren and AJ to perform the American Smooth.

Last week their Salsa scored them a mere 23 points from the judges.

And they came seventh place in the Lindy-Hop-A-Thon, making them bottom of the leaderboard.

Their highest score of the series was for their Viennese Waltz back in week eight.

But will they be able to score higher than 34 points?

Strictly Come Dancing currently airs on BBC One.
