Fans of Resident Evil have been waiting a long time for news about the Resident Evil 2 remake.
Capcom is almost certain to show off Resident Evil 2 Remake at E3 2018, and there would be no better time than during Sony’s conference.
The original Resident Evil 2 was a big hit on the PSOne, so it’s only right that the remake makes an appearance at Sony’s press event.
Previous rumours have claimed that Resident Evil 2 Remake will feature an over-the-shoulder camera system similar to Resident Evil 4.
And while there’s been no official confirmation from Capcom, the news hasn’t gone down well with everybody.
Some fans have messaged original Resident Evil 2 director Hideki Kamiya to express their dissatisfaction with the potential gameplay alteration.
Kamiya threatened to block “brainless camera whiner idiots” and told other fans to message Capcom instead of contacting him.
The report claims that the campaign will take around 20 hours to finish, and feature expanded lore, cutscenes and story elements.

Fans can also expect new enemies, as well as appearances by monsters from other Resident Evil games.
On the downside, the alligator battle has reportedly been cut, although the sewer section has been expanded upon.
There’s also mention of potential DLC missions involving HUNK, Sherry and more.
