Pokemon Go Adventure Week: How to defeat Aerodactyl Raid Boss

players have started to encounter Aerodactyl in Adventure Week Raid battles.

Pokemon Go Adventure Week kicked off yesterday, following a surprise announcement by Niantic.

In addition to new Field Research tasks and rewards, Niantic confirmed that Aerodactyl would be appearing in Raid Battles.

And fortunately, despite its imposing appearance, Aerodactyl isn’t that hard to defeat.

Groups should have no trouble beating the level 3 Raid boss, while solo players stand a really good chance by using the right Pocket Monsters.

Aerodactyl has a number of weaknesses, and is especially vulnerable against certain Electric and Water-type Pokemon.

As Pokemon Go Hub points out, Raikou and Kyogre are two of the best Pocket Monsters to use against Aerodactyl.

Zapdos is another solid choice, while Jolteon and Vaporeon are also effective.

Dedicated players fortunate enough to own a Gyarados might want to include it in their team, as Waterfall and Hydro Pump are good counters.

You can also try the likes of Tyranitar, Metagross and Aggron, although they’re unlikely to cause as much damage as the likes of Raikou and Kyogre.

The latest Pokemon Go Adventure runs until June 5.

“Throughout the celebration, Rock-type Pokemon such as Geodude, Lileep, and Nosepass will appear more frequently in the wild,” Niantic explains.

“There are also incentives to trek around: your Buddy Pokemon will earn Candy 4× faster throughout the event!

“Plus, you’ll receive extra XP for spinning the Photo Discs at PokeStops or Gyms—up to 10 times the usual amount if this is your first time encountering a unique PokeStop or Gym!”
