The final season of Game of Thrones is going to be enormous.
While there are many loose ends to tie up, the producers of the hit HBO show are surely going to keep fans guessing as much as possible.
And although season seven focussed a lot of its time on the true identity of Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington) and where his loyalties lie, the final scenes of the show could focus more on the side characters.
Jon’s army is fractures, and he has spent a lot of time with Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) trying to win her favour – but he has left himself without many allies.
After deserting his home, Winterfell, to chase Daenerys and gain use of her dragons, his bannermen are not too happy with him.
Meanwhile, back in Winterfell, Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) has taken over from her brother, and is quickly becoming the northern lords’ favoured ruler.
And although Jon is the rightful heir to the Stark throne, she may become another obstacle to tackle in the next season.
Twitter user A_Red_Priestess recently backed up this theory after retweeting an image of the stunt doubles for Sansa’s actor Sophie, and Tyrion’s actor Peter Dinklage appearing in Seville.
Seville is the Spanish town best known for being the location where scenes in Dorne are filmed.
If Sansa and Tyrion’s stunt doubles are currently filming in Dorne sets, could this mean the characters will be meeting up again?
Tyrion and Sansa have not seen each other for almost four seasons, following their forced marriage.
Now that Tyrion serves as Daenerys’ right-hand man, could he be reaching out to Sansa for her newly acquired army?
What’s more, their location is interesting as Tyrion was last seen on a boat with Jon on his way to Winterfell – to see Sansa once again.
If the two characters are to end up in Dorne, could they have been sent as emissaries to the Martell family in an attempt to strengthen their forces against the Lannisters?
The Martells famously hate the Lannisters, following the death of Oberyn Martell (Pedro Pascal) at the hands of The Mountain (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson).
