Saturday Kitchen: Matt Tebbutt hits out at guests for doing THIS live on air ‘No petting!’

The married chefs went head-to-head in an omelette challenge, which was won by Nadine, before they struggled to keep their hands off each other.

Proving there was no hard feelings after the cooking competition, Nadine gave Rene a kiss.

Matt heard the smooching noise and swiftly turned around to stop the awkward encounter.

He said: “Oi, none of that – it’s quarter past eleven!”

Nadine then rubbed her husband’s face and quipped: “We’ve had wine!”

Rene and Nadine erupted into fits of laughter, before Matt jokingly added that there should be some rules which ban “heavy petting” in the kitchen.

He said: “We should have them rules up like they do in swimming pools.”

Guest Olly Smith intervened, stating: “No heavy petting.”

“No heavy petting, no running and all that,” Matt continued.

The camera then cut to TV presenter Olly and Silent Witness star Emilia Fox, who didn’t look impressed.

Matt also made a flippant comment to Rene for losing the challenge to his wife, having previously described him as “one of the best chefs in the world”.

The TV host quipped: “My intro was ‘arguably one of the best chefs in the world,’ and then you go and do that!”(sic)

“It is almost perfection,” Rene added in his defence.

“Yes it is, absolutely,” Matt replied.

Elsewhere on the show, Emilia went up for a Heaven or Hell eating challenge.

Saturday Kitchen viewers voted for which dish the actress should consume, between her “heaven dish” Aubergine Parmigiana and her “hell dish” a rich chocolate black forest trifle.

Emilia shocked viewers by referring to the tasty dessert as her food hell during the show.

She told Matt: “I would take that off the menu.”

Towards to end of the show, Matt announced that viewers had voted for Emilia’s to indulge in her “heaven dish”.

Saturday Kitchen continues next week on BBC at 9am.
