Fortnite servers FIXED – Epic Games releasing free Back Bling gift

Cosmetic items in Epic Games’ Battle Royale mode are very popular and have been getting a lot of attention of late.

New skins like the Raven and Dark Vanguard have proved very popular, while the Battle Pass also offers some top items.

And now Epic Games have confirmed that they will be offering a new Fortnite Back Bling gift for free.

This is a way of saying sorry for the recent Fortnite server problem, which went on for a full day and are still catching some PS4 players.

This stemmed from a database problem that took the game offline on PS4, Xbox One, PC and iOS.

Epic Games have revealed some details on what happened, and how they hope to make it up to their players.

“It’s been no secret that over the past 24 hours we’ve been experiencing issues with our services that have prevented many of you from playing Battle Royale and Save the World,” the message from the development reads.

“We’re sorry. We know how frustrating this has been.”

Because of these problems, Battle Royale players will get access to a Back Bling gift that you can pick up in the store for free.

For our Save the World folks, this weekend Epic Games will be offering a Troll Stash Llama in the store for free.

There will also be a little something for Battle Pass owners, although this gift will mean more downtime.

“Next week, we will be granting a pack of Battle Stars to our Battle Royale players and Seasonal Gold to the Save the World players,” the message adds.

“This will require brief additional downtime, so we will be including it as a part of our planned update next week.

“We’ll have a detailed postmortem of this week’s issues, and more information about how we will improve services for you in the future. Look for this later next week.”

It should be noted that none of Fortnite Battle Royale’s cosmetic items are designed to give players an edge.

There all additional items that can be bought for V-Bucks and shouldn’t impact gameplay in anyway.

This new Back Bling is just the same, and will be offered to everyone, regardless if you have a Battle Pass or not.

Next week may also see new Fortnite skins released by Epic Games, with a dataminers find evidence that at least three new outfits could launch very soon.
