Prince Harry, 33, and Meghan Markle, 36, will soon tie the knot in a royal wedding ceremony at St George’s Chapel. The royal wedding date is May 19 2018.
However, there are claims LA born actress Meghan’s relationship with Prince Harry could easily have all gone wrong, according to a new biography.
The biographer claims timing was everything for the budding romance between Meghan and Harry.
Meghan would have made “friendly small talk” with Harry if they had met years earlier.
However, it would not have gone further if the pair had met at this time in their lives, claimed Andrew Morton in his new book Meghan.
He wrote in the book: “Prince Harry would not have impressed Meghan.”
“She would have found the early Harry hard work, something of a lost soul.”
Meghan and Prince Harry’s age gap is a three year difference.
This is more than other royal relationships such as Kate Middleton and Prince William’s marriage and Prince Charles and Camilla’s marriage, where the gap is just one year.
However, it seems Harry is now mature enough for his older bride, with the pair announcing their engagement last year after just a year nad a half of dating.
Prince Harry was known to have been very different a few years ago; for instance, back in 2012, he was pictured naked in Vegas.
Back in 2005, he faced public outcry when he was photographed wearing a Nazi uniform at a private party.
At another point in the book, Andrew described Harry’s younger self as “an angry drunk who lurched out of nightclubs”.
He added: “For years he was carefully protected by highly paid public relations professionals who smoothed over his public escapades.”
Last week, a royal insider exclusively commented to Express.co.uk on Meghan and Harry’s relationship and whether it will last.
It is believed the success of their marriage depends on Meghan, according to a royal insider.
The former Suits actress, who comes from Los Angeles, will have to withstand the pressure of royal life if she is to be happy with Prince Harry.
The source said: “I am a fan of Meghan and a few people keep asking me, ‘Do you think it will last?’”
“I think they will stay together if Meghan can handle the pressure of being a royal, which isn’t easy.”
“She will feel the pressure of having a schedule,” he continued. The source described what an average day might look like for the future royal.
“They will have a private secretary, who will come in in the mornings and give Ms Markle a letter of engagements in the day.”
