Star Wars 8 news: Finn and Poe Last Jedi 'gay romance' torn apart by separate missions

He said: “I’m looking at the director Rian closely so he can get me involved early, so I can prepare myself. So who knows?”

The latest reports indicate that Finn will be going back to his First Order roots as an undercover agent.

New leaked information says that Finn will be sent on board the Super Star Destroyer that is the new headquarters of the First Order.

He will have a companion on his mission, but it won’t be Poe…

Finn is believed to be accompanied by the new character played by Kelly Marie Tran, who is being referred to as an  “information broker.”

The fansite Making Star Wars has also reported that the pair will set explosives during their dangerous mission.

We had already heard rumours that he will bump into an old colleague, played by  Finn will be wearing a stolen First Order officer’s uniform and Hardy’s character touches him in a very cheeky way to congratulate him on his apparent promotion.

It’s bad news, though, for fans who were hoping for some cheeky touching between Finn and Poe.

With the internet overflowing with speculation, a consistent new rumour says that Poe will be on a mission to negotiate with Laura Dern’s character, who is expected to be a political rival to Leia for leadership of the Alliance.

Star Wars crews have been seen filming in Ireland for all the Luke, Rey and Kylo Ren scenes set on Ach-To. However they have also been spotted shooting in Dubrovnic for scenes set on a “casino planet.”

Since we know where all the other principle characters are going to be, this Las-Vegas-in-space seems most likely to be where Poe is sent on his next mission.

Although all bets aren’t off by any means for Star Wars’ first gay romance, the odds are looking rather longer for Finn and Poe to find their own Full House just yet.
