Diabetes news: New genetic variants identified that could lower Type 2 diabetes risk

SCIENTISTS have identified seven new genetic variants that could lower a person’s risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, it emerged today. The research studied 451,000 people involved in the UK Biobank to find variations in certain genes that were linked to levels of body fat.
