Being the climax of the last 10 years of Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, it’s unsurprising that we’re set for some superhero fatalities.
But with over 70 characters set to appear in Avengers Infinity War, just how bad are we talking?
Now Iron Man star Downey Jr has teased how costly the battle with Thanos is going to be.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, the 52-year-old actor did not mince his words when it comes to what we can only assume are major deaths.
Downey Jr said: “Believe me, I’m tired of every movie, you know, ‘It’s the end! It’s Armageddon! It’s the Be All, End All, Forever!’ And then it’s … not.
“This one actually is. They’re not kidding. This is a heads-will-roll scenario.”
So who exactly is most vulnerable? Well there are a number of major candidates for Avengers Infinity War deaths. After all, the first trailer opened with Tony Stark holding a bloody, limp hand.
The most obvious contenders are those characters who are unlikely to return for Marvel Phase 4.
Captain America and Iron Man are in Avengers 4, but it doesn’t mean they’ll make it to the end.
Avengers Infinity War will be released in UK cinemas on April 26, 2018.
