Celebrity Big Brother 2018: Emma Willis red-faced as she makes Ann Widdecombe gaffe

The presenter was stunned when the former politician revealed that she had been provided the wrong information about her living arrangements.

Emma noted: “Normally you live on your own so what was it like living with 15 other people?”

“Terrible, absolutely terrible,” Ann replied. “There was noise all the time. I was woken up in the morning by loud pop music played by big brother.”

The brunette beauty then asked: “How do you think you’re going to fare now to just you with and your lovely cats that you adore?”

“Well I don’t have any cats thats misinformation,” Ann snapped back.

Confused, Emma probed: “I thought you had cats!”

“Well I used to, but they died,” the 70-year-old replied.

Clearly feeling embarrassed, Emma commented: “Now she feels awful because I just mentioned her dead cats.”

Ann was the fourth celebrity to be voted out of the house placing second, much to the delight of viewers.

She was closely followed by Courtney Act who was crowned this year’s winner.

The Australian drag queen said it felt “ironic” to win the Year of the Woman but thanked the eight female stars in the house.

Shane Lynch was the third star to be evicted from the Borehamwood Bungalow tonight and looked dapper as he left the building in a three-piece suit.

Speaking about placing third, he simply commented: “Three is a number in my life that I like, so it’s good for me.”

Discussing Ann, he continued: “It took a while…Ann is hard shelled but inside there is some soft loveliness. I really enjoyed who she was and became friendly.”

Coming in fourth place, Jess Impiazzi said she hadn’t expected to last so long in the house.

Chatting about her time in the Borehamwood Bungalow, she told Emma: “I knew I felt friends with everyone but I knew that I drive my stepdad nuts so I thought I was bound to drive someone nuts in the house but I guess I didn’t.

“I met some people that will be cherished forever and that experience will never get lost.”

Speaking about talking to Ann about politics, she noted she was nervous to do so.

“I thought I’d best keep my mouth shut in case I embarrassed myself but she encouraged me,” the 28-year-old commented.

“The way Ann would let me speak about study, I was free to speak and then I would learn.”

Wayne Sleep was the first celebrity to be booted out of the house, placing fifth, and said he felt a “massive wealth of love” from his fans who had voted to keep him in for so long.

He went on to tell Emma that he thought the experience would be awful but he was surprised by the outcome.

“Not awful but I thought that it would be areal challenge… it was a real test and I came through it.”

He added: “To be with mature people as well, I didn’t expect it.”
