It was recently reported that Pat Phelan (played by Connor McIntyre) will be killed of this year after his string of murders and wrongdoings.
What’s more, it was also revealed that his wife, Eileen Phelan (Sue Cleaver) is the person who will be putting an end to the villain by shoving him off of a cliff.
With the dastardly builder’s demise now written in stone, he may try to kill again before he is finished.
The Coronation Street make-up artist team have shared some injuries on Instagram, including a deep cut, and a bullet wound.
Pat murdered Andy Carver (Oliver Farnworth), Vinny Ashford (Ian Kelsey), and Luke Britton (Dean Fagan) with a gun, before disposing of their bodies. This gunshot wound photo could hint to Pat striking again soon.
The wounds are so gruesome and detailed that the make-up team have now begun receiving special training from industry experts on how to emulate bullet wounds, knife attacks, and bruises.
A source told The Sun: “In the past their job was to make sure the everyone’s hair and make up looked good on set, and perhaps do the odd bump and bruise, and provide a bit of blood for a punch-up in the Rovers.
“Now Weatherfield is like the Bronx with murder and mayhem at every turn and the make-up room is more like a special effects department.
“They’ve had some people in who are experts in this kind of make-up and effects to show them how to recreate wounds as realistically as possible.
“The department has come a long way. Years ago, a big job would have been doing Bet Lynch’s hair and slap so she looked good behind the bar of the Rovers.”
“The staff joke that they use more fake blood than Casualty,” the source finished.
Though, the gruesome injury could be inflicted on a number of people within the cast, including Gary Windass (Mikey North) and Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni).
Another source told The Sun that, whilst Pat and Eileen are away on a mini-break, police will find bodies at the killer’s building site, causing Liz McDonald (Beverly Callard) to call Eileen and inform her.
With the secret revealed, the couple clash, causing Pat to attack Eileen.
The source added: “It will stun and delight viewers. He’s finally getting his comeuppance.”
