Stacey (played by Lacey Turner) fled Walford in the New Year after confessing to Martin (James Bye) that she enjoyed a steamy one night stand with Max Branning (Jake Wood).
In turn, Stacey packed her bags to escape the destruction she left in her path, but now she’s back – tomorrow.
However, while fans may be delighted to see her return, Stacey won’t get the reception she’s hoping for from Martin.
Instead, Martin immediately sees red and a huge argument erupts through Albert Square before he throws Stacey out of their marital home.
However, Stacey won’t be one her own for long as Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) is set to finally move back to Walford over coming weeks, and she won’t be alone.
She’ll be joined by Big Mo (Laila Morse) and Stacey’s mother Jean Slater (Gillian Wright).
“I am thrilled to be returning to EastEnders next year and knowing what John Yorke has in store for the Slaters is incredibly exciting,” Jessie enthused.
“I love Kat and Walford dearly and I cannot wait to get started – watch out Walford, Kat’s coming home.”
Laila Morse, who’s starred as Mo since the Slater family first came to Walford in 2000, added: “I’m really excited to be coming back.
“It’s the one question I’m constantly asked. I can’t wait to see everyone and get stuck back into life in Walford.”
EastEnders boss John confirmed there are big plans for Kat and co. as he broke the news of their comeback.
“The Slaters are one of the all-time great families in EastEnders and Albert Square has never felt quite the same since they scattered to different ends of the country, and in some cases beyond,” he beamed.
“It has been a real joy to find a way to bring them back together and we’re incredibly excited about where we are taking them next.
“It won’t just be familiar Slaters either as there are a couple of twists and characters to add fresh spice to an iconic creation.”
Viewers have since speculated that Kat will but The Queen Vic when she returns.
The latest news comes after Shane Richie exclusively told Express.co.uk that he’s “itching” for a return to EastEnders, but under one condition.
EastEnders continues tomorrow at 8pm on BBC One.
